We are delighted to announce that Cllr Jim Leishman MBE, the Provost of Fife, has agreed to be our Patron.
John Swift, Chairman of Dunfermline Advocacy said “we are thrilled and delighted that Jim Leishman has agreed to become our Patron. We look forward to working with him to raise awareness of how Dunfermline Advocacy can improve the lifestyles of vulnerable people across Dunfermline and West Fife”.
Rachel Annand, the CEO for the charity, says “It is fantastic news that Jim Leishman is to be our Patron. The search for a Patron took place last year after Dunfermline Advocacy was awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. Jim Leishman was the first name to emerge in our search for our Patron and we are delighted he is now on board”.
Jim Leishman, said “Dunfermline Advocacy provide fantastic support for vulnerable people. Their strapline “Friendship Changing Lives” sums up perfectly the support they provide for vulnerable people across Dunfermline and West Fife. I am honoured to take on the role of Patron. My first task is to help increase awareness of the Charity Zip Wire (a Dunfermline Advocacy/The Pars Foundation event) taking place at East End Park on Saturday 21st May.”
