Our Citizen Advocacy and Younger People Project Development Worker Gemma has been in post for one year this month!  And what a quick year it has been.

We asked Gemma to note down her thoughts on her first year at DA and he is what she had to say:

“One year already!  I can’t believe how quickly the year has passed.  I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as a Development Worker within the Dunfermline Advocacy team.  I have had the chance to meet so many young people within West Fife, at various community events and talks.

I still get excited when volunteers come forward and go on to be matched with vulnerable young people, whether that’s related to the type of people they are, or the types of interests they share.  It is rewarding supporting new partnerships to develop into supportive friendships, and seeing the impact that Citizen Advocacy can have on vulnerable young people, as well on the lives of advocates.  Thank you to all of our amazing volunteer Citizen Advocates!”
