Dunfermline Advocacy will be taking part in #GivingTuesday this year.

#Givingtuesday (2nd December) is a global day of giving. After the sales of black friday and the online shopping boom on cyber Monday, #givingtuesday is an opportunity to come together to show the world why it’s good to give. Whether it’s making a donation, volunteering your time or just spreading the word at the start of the Christmas shopping season, #givingtuesday is a call to action for everyone who wants to give something back.

#Givingtuesday has grown into a global movement, covering countries like the United States, Australia, Singapore, Canada, much of Latin America and Israel.In 2014 the campaign is being launched in the UK by the charities aid foundation with support from Blackbaud.The simple idea behind #givingtuesday is to encourage people, charities and businesses to donate time, money or their voice to help a good cause.

On 2nd December Dunfermline Advocacy will have a stall outside Marks and Spencers on Dunfermline’s High Street from 10am to 3pm. Our aim for the day will be raising awareness, raising funds, recruiting advocates and asking people to support us in whatever way they can.
