Development Worker
Margaret joined the Team for a second time in 2015 during Hannah’s maternity leave to cover the Short Term Citizen Advocacy project, having previously worked with Dunfermline Advocacy as a Development Worker and a Member on the Board of Trustees. In 2016 Margaret began working with Barbara supporting Long Term Citizen Advocacy in the community. This year Margaret started working on the Friendship Changes Lives Project
Having volunteered as a Citizen Advocate herself, Margaret has witnessed first-hand how Citizen Advocacy helps people form the kinds of ongoing supportive relationships we often take for granted. She believes that, with resources becoming increasingly stretched in social care and health provision, it is more important than ever for vulnerable people to have independent support.
Margaret has a Masters in Social Work from the University of Edinburgh.
