Amy is currently working as a maths tutor in the local area having previously trained in Healthcare Science (Medical Physics) with NHS Lothian.
Amy became a short-term Citizen Advocate with Dunfermline Advocacy in 2015, after realising an advocate was the one person whose support, she, herself, would have benefitted most from.
Interactions with advocacy partners and professionals (incl. Health, Social Work & DWP) have given Amy a wealth of experience and strengthened her existing knowledge and understanding of a wide range of issues.
She plans to use these experiences to support the important work done by the Dunfermline Advocacy team.
Amy volunteers as a youth worker with SEAL, Dunfermline and has previously volunteered as an Adult Basic Education Tutors’ assistant.
